I bought the Tamron to go with my Sony a200 dslr.The lens is really nice quality, and it works perfectly with the camera.Auto focus is quick and accurate. It is certainly not a pro quality lens, but for the price it is wonderful.I recommend this for anyone who wants a telephoto lens to add to their DLSR. I tried out the Sony 70-300mm lens in a local store, but I was not impressed.In particular, Sonys user-friendly manual focus lenses is pretty poor. This one is fantastic in that regard.You may not use manual focus, which often, but its nice to have a lens that can handle the job when you need it..
